Bank reconciliation, tied out daily.

Tessel matches every bank line to the ledger as it lands, so the reconciliation is done before the close starts, and the first week of the month goes to review.

The problem

Exports, VLOOKUPs, and a gap nobody owns.

Most teams reconcile the bank once a month, from CSV exports, one account at a time. The easy 90% of lines take days. The hard 10% wait until the end, when there is no time left to chase them.

The difference that won’t tie is usually three things: a fee taken off a payment, a transfer that landed a day late, and one line booked twice.

The workflow

Four steps, three of them Tessel’s.

  1. 01

    Connect read-only feeds

Bank, card and ERP connections are read-only. Tessel reads back twelve months to learn your patterns.

  2. 02

    Tessel matches as lines land

One-to-one, one-to-many and partial matches, each with the rule that made it.

  3. 03

    Review what’s flagged

Duplicates, late transfers and unexplained fees come to you with one reason each.

  4. 04

    Approve and close the period

Sign off the reconciliation. The evidence log is ready for the auditor.
