Flux analysis without the spreadsheet
Why the movement against last month is the fastest way to find what’s wrong with a balance.
By the Close teamMost balance sheet errors show up as a movement nobody expected. Flux analysis, comparing each account with last month, is the fastest way to find them, and the slowest to prepare by hand.
Where the time goes
Two exports, a lookup, a column of differences and a column of explanations that someone has to chase. By the time the spreadsheet is ready, the close is half over.
What changes with Tessel
Every balance sheet account shows its movement against last month, with the lines that explain most of it already attached. A reviewer reads the explanation instead of building it.
What we left out
Tessel doesn’t decide what counts as a surprising movement. You set the threshold per account, and anything over it becomes a review task with a person’s name on it.
